Our promise

The rules we hold ourselves to, and the ones we ask of every guest. Written plainly, because you should know exactly what you're booking.

An even room

Every evening has twelve seats for women and twelve for men, and the seat counts on each event page are the real numbers. If a late cancellation leaves the room uneven on the night, the extra guests get a free seat at their next evening.

Code of conduct

Every guest agrees to this when they book.

  • Be kind. Everyone in the room was brave enough to come.
  • Take no for an answer, the first time, in the room and afterwards.
  • Phones away during conversations.
  • No contact outside a mutual match. Don't ask for numbers or look people up on the night.
  • Drink responsibly. Venue staff and your host can refuse service.
Anyone who breaks the code is asked to leave without a refund and isn't invited back. Tell the host at any point, or use the contact page afterwards. You'll always get a reply.

Privacy

We keep what we need to run your evening and nothing else.

  • What we collect: your first name, email, which side of the room you booked, your age bracket and which evening you booked. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  • Who sees it: your host sees your first name on the night. A mutual match sees your first name and email. Nobody else.
  • What we never do: share or sell your details, or give anyone your phone number.
  • Deleting it: ask on the contact page and we'll delete everything within seven days.

Refunds

  • Any time before the evening: full refund, in one click from your booking email or your account page.
  • We cancel: automatic full refund, or a seat at another evening if you'd prefer.
  • Uneven numbers on the night: a free seat at your next evening.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Banks usually take five to ten working days to show them.
